Chief Accountant - ( Kingston,Jamaica)

A Private Sector organization requires the services of a Chief Accountant who will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department. Provide proper supervision to Payroll and Accounting clerks and ensure that all accounting records are kept up to date.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• BSc in Accounting or equivalent
• Management experience over 3 years in required
• Experience in Project Management
• Experience in Audit ideal but not required

REQUIRED SKILLS AND SPECIALIZED TECHNIQUES:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Planning,organization, management and problem solving skills ;
• Knowledge of accounting procedures and financial management;
• Strong analytical skills;
• Proficiency with spreadsheets;
• Ability to create and explain reports;
• The ability to interact with employees, and professionals on all levels;
• Deadline orientated with ability to work under pressure;
• Ability to effectively manage and motivate staff;
