Laboratory Technician (Kingston, Jamaica) - The Marketing Counselor Ltd.

Applications are invited from qualified persons to fill the above position.

The successful applicant's responsibilities will iclude:

• Performing basic laboratory tests on production batches and raw material in accordance with the standard procedures
• Testing of stabilityandretention samples
• Data entry and assisting with Media preparation
• Maintenance of Laboratory inventory system
• Environmental monitoring activities
• Assisting in the maintenance of the quality and food safety systems and continuous improvement

Required qualificfiations, competencies and experience should include:

• Minimum of Diploma in Science, BSc in Science preferred
• One (1) year's experience in a laboratory setting. Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferable in the pharmaceutical or food industry would be ideal
• Strong oral and written skills
• Knowledge of HACCP, ISO, GMP and Quality Management Systems
• Working knowledge of computer systems
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Results oriented
