JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsilbilities:
  • To develop, implement and monitor Occupational Health and Safety Policy, Programs and Procedures.
  • To assist in complying with current health and safety legislation and/or regulations with the objective of ensuring all reasonable and proper measures are taken to protect the safety and health of employees, contractors and visitors.
  • To establish budget proposal for the operation of the Occupational Health and Safety and specific training programs.
  • To increase health and safety awareness at all levels within the organization.
  • To investigate and report on all serious/critical personal injury accidents, near-miss accident, dangerous occurrance, occupational poisoning or occupational disease occurring to employees, and/or visitors to the management, and to assist in investigation of all accidents/incidents in workplace.
  • To coordinate registration and removal of hazardous waste water treatment plant (WWTP), scheduled waste.
  • To arrange for Occupational Health and Safety testing and/or evaluations of the workplace by external agencies/consultants as may be necessary; Chemical Health Risk Assessment (CHRA), Noise Exposure Monitoring, Audiometry Test, Local Exhaust Ventilation System (LEV), Chemical Exposure Monitoring.
  • Implement and maintain document control system.
  • Read and interpret engineering notes and drawing.
  • Play a key role in preparing ISO quality Management System.
  • Participate in project team in reviewing and revising documentation in preparation for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and IATF16949 Certification.
Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Certificate in Occupational Environmental Safety And Health or its equivalent.
  • Possess certified competency certificate endorsed by DOSH/NIOSH (Green Book).
  • At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Possess good communication skills.
  • Possess good interpersonal skills and able to work as a team with others.
  • Possess sense of urgency and desire towards job requirement.
  • Knowledge in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and IATF 16949.
