LSC Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate for the position of:
Maintenance Technician
To perform the essential functions of this position successfully, an individual should be able to demonstrate and provide the following:
Qualifications:
• Associates Degree (Preferred)
• Minimum: High School, at least 5 CXCʼs
• 3 Years professional experience in manufacturing / plant operations
• Certified to operate forklifts
• Verbal and Written communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to read detailed formula sheets and understand technical instructions
• Excellent work ethic, with desire to exceed customer expectations
• Ability to work Independently, in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work in a team
• Ensure the smooth operation of all machinery and equipment by performing preventative maintenance and routine inspections.
• Responding to malfunctioning machinery equipment and accurately repairs in an efficient manner.
• Keeps an adequate inventory of parts, tools, etc. necessary to perform necessary maintenance.
• Documents daily maintenance activities, monthly checklists, inspections, etc.
• May be required to be on-call and to come in to take care of maintenance needs that arise outside of normal working hours as assigned by the supervisor/plant manager.
• Ensure the safe, sanitary and efficient operation of the manufacturing equipment which includes understanding and following procedures,
cleaning equipment, and weighing correct quantities.
• All other related duties and assignments as required by the Plant Manager.
